Avatar: The Last Airbender Comic Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of the storyline running through the Avatar: The Last Airbender television series and its extended comic book universe. It takes place before the events of Avatar: The Legend of Korra, which is explored in our “Avatar: The Legend of Korra Reading Order“.

The majority of the Avatar: The Last Airbender comics are set immediately after the show’s conclusion. These comics explain what the show’s main characters did after the show’s climactic conclusion. These comics also help to directly bridge the gap between the conclusion of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the beginning of Avatar: The Legend of Korra. Alongside these, a minority of the Avatar: The Last Airbender comics depict additional adventures that take place alongside the events of the show.

1. These stories from The Lost Adventures (Review) and Team Avatar Tales (Review) technically take place in the middle of random episodes of the television show. However, we suggest reading them after each season in order to avoid any and all spoilers.
