A New Absolute Edition is On the Way for “Dark Nights: Death Metal”

Absolute Editions are the most premium format DC Comics collections. Last year, DC released Absolute Dark Nights: Metal, which collected the main Dark Nights: Metal event (Reading Order) along with a few key tie-in issues. Now, another Absolute Edition is coming to collect the sequel to the original event.

Absolute Dark Nights: Death Metal is currently set for release on June 13, 2023. This new hardcover Absolute Edition is set to gather together Dark Knights: Death Metal #1-7. This collects the entirety of the main event, which is all you really need to understand what is taking place here.

Death Metal (Reading Order) was essentially the sequel to Metal. This event picked up many of the same story threads and brought them to a climax. In addition, it served as the conclusion to Scott Snyder’s run on the Justice League series (Reading Order). So, this new Absolute Edition is the perfect companion to the Absolute Dark Nights: Metal collection and to the series of Justice League by Scott Snyder Deluxe Editions.

Whats the difference between the Absolute edition and the Deluxe addition? Page count is only different by about 30 pages but price is different by 70 or so.
