HBO Max Adds More DC Movies this October

HBO Max is quickly becoming the streaming service to get for fans of DC Comics. The service already offers a plethora of older DC movies and now includes several original shows (ported over from the DC Universe streaming service). Next month continues this trend by offering even more DC material.

In October, HBO Max’s DC additions are more offbeat than ever before. Keanu Reeves’s underappreciated performance as Constantine (Reading Order) in Constantine and Henry Cavill’s awesome portrayal of Superman (Reading Order) in Man of Steel are two of the top picks. Meanwhile, other new additions are more mixed and include Shaquille O’Neal’s unexpected appearance as John Henry Irons, a questionable interpretation of Jonah Hex (Reading Order), and a film often regarded as one of the “worst movies of all time”, 2004’s Catwoman. Alongside all of this, several solid animated DC movies are coming as well.

All of these titles are set to be added to HBO Max on October 1st. The full list of DC additions can be seen below:

  • All-Star Superman, 2011
  • Catwoman, 2004
  • Constantine, 2005
  • Jonah Hex, 2010
  • Man of Steel, 2013
  • Son of Batman, 2014
  • Steel, 1997
  • Superman vs. the Elite, 2012
  • Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, 2010
  • Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, 2009
