New “World of Black Hammer” and “Madman” Library Editions are on the Way

Library Editions are the premium format comic book collections from Dark Horse Comics. Just recently, two new Library Edition collections were solicited and are now available for pre-order. Both of these new books continue a line of already existing Library Editions: The World of Black Hammer and Madman.

The World of Black Hammer Library Edition Volume 5 is currently set for release on April 25, 2023. This volume is set to collect Black Hammer: Visions #1-8. It is also set to collect a host of bonus content, as the solicitation states it include “pinups by Gilbert Hernandez, Evan Dorkin, Kelley Jones, Yuko Shimizu, Veronica Fish, Dan Brereton, Annie Wu, and more” and comes with a new cover and sketchbook extras. This makes for a pretty nice collection for any Black Hammer fan.

Madman Library Edition Volume 4 is currently set for release on April 18, 2023. This volume is set to collect “Madman Atomic Comics #1-17, the interdimensional adventures of It Girl issues #1-12, and the super rare one-shots Spaceman and Mr. Gum.” This should put it at around the same size as the previous volume in this Library Edition series.
