Captain Carrot Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring Captain Carrot (Roger Rodney Rabbit) throughout DC Comics. It may not encompass every one of his appearances but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

New 52

At the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe was reset and most characters’ histories were wiped clean. However, it is unclear to what extent Captain Carrot was impacted by this reboot. It seems he still remembers the events of Final Crisis but, outside of this, the rest of his past is not brought up.

Captain Carrot appears in the main issues of the Multiversity series. Here, he plays a part in fighting against a Multiversal threat. Over the course of this event, he also becomes a member of Justice Incarnate (Reading Order), something that will have an impact on most of his appearances in the next few eras.

Rebirth

The transition from the New 52 to the Rebirth era does not appear to have created any continuity changes for Captain Carrot. Instead, his adventures pick up alongside Justice Incarnate's (Reading Order) next appearance.

Captain Carrot plays a moderate role in an arc from the Superman series. There, he works with various heroes against another Multiversal threat.

Universe

The Universe era is essentially an extension of the Rebirth era, as it maintains the same continuity. Captain Carrot's narrative is in line with this, as his adventures in this era mostly continue his involvement with Justice Incarnate (Reading Order).

In this era, Captain Carrot primarily appears alongside the rest of Justice Incarnate. His appearances in Dog Days of Summer and a Dark Nights: Death Metal tie-in both highlight his relationship with his team and his dedication to heroism. Outside of this, his appearance in Young Justice shows him without Justice Incarnate and, instead, has him alongside his original team, the Zoo Crew.
