Batwing (David Zavimbe) Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring Batwing (David Zavimbe) throughout DC Comics. It may not encompass every one of his appearances but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

New 52

At the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe was reset. In this new continuity, almost every character’s history was altered. This had a dramatic impact on David Zavimbe’s history, essentially wiping it completely clean and reintroducing a new history. The only aspect of his history that was maintained was his connection to Batman Incorporated.

Batman’s adventures are primarily detailed across the Batwing series, in which he is the main character. This comic explains Batwing’s updated continuity and showcases the bulk of his adventures. Besides this, Batwing plays a small role in Justice League International and Batman Incorporated.

Notes
  1. Batwing has a supporting role in these issues of Justice League International. These issues do little to advance Batwing's personal story and simply serve as a way to connect him to the greater superhero community.
  2. Batwing has a pretty minor role in these issues of Batman Incorporated. His appearances in this comic are small though and can easily be skipped.

Rebirth

Batwing (David Zavimbe) does not appear in the Rebirth era. The Luke Fox version of Batwing is the only version of the character to appear in this era.
