Overview

Superman: Savage Dawn (Review) is a single storyline that takes place across the Superman, Action Comics, and Superman/Wonder Woman series. It begins with an issue of Superman, continues in an issue of Action Comics, then an issue of Superman/Wonder Woman, and then repeats through each of those series. These ten issues should all be read in the order detailed above in order for the story to make sense.

Before Reading

This crossover event immediately follows the events of Action Comics Vol. 8: Truth (Review), Superman/Wonder Woman Vol. 4: Dark Truth (Review), and the first half of Superman Vol. 2: Return to Glory (Review); however the events of Superman Vol. 1: Before Truth (Review) actually have much more relevance here than Return to Glory (Review). Each one of these volumes sees Superman's enemy prepare for the events of Savage Dawn (Review)To get the full experience in reading this crossover event, we recommend reading these prelude stories first.

After Reading

Savage Dawn (Review) leads directly into the events of Superman: The Final Days of Superman (Review) (Reading Order).
