Lena Luthor Timeline/Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give a timeline of major storylines featuring Lena Luthor throughout DC Comics. It does not encompass every one of her appearances, but is a timeline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

New 52

With the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe’s continuity was restarted. At first, Lena was completely absent from the new universe. However, after a while, she began to make a few appearances in the Justice League series. Though she does not have a large role here, her actions help establish her character for a plotline in the “Rebirth” era of comics.

Notes

1. Lena is not present in this storyline. However, her brother, Lex Luthor, begins to tell stories from the duo's past in these issues. These stories play a large role in their relationship going forward.
2. Though Lena is present in these issues, her role is extremely small. We have marked these issues as "Extra" because they help to establish the relationship she shares with her brother but can be skipped if necessary.

 

Rebirth

The beginning of Rebirth did not signal any major continuity change in DC Comics, it was simply designed as a good entry point for new readers.
