Infinity Watch Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring the Infinity Watch throughout Marvel Comics. It does not encompass every one of the team’s appearances, but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the Marvel Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

Modern Age

The Infinity Watch was created in this era and does not have any appearances prior to this. In this era, the Watch is primarily comprised of Adam Warlock, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Moondragon, Pip the Troll, and a mysterious sixth member.

The Watch has its origins in the Infinity Gauntlet (Reading Order) event, where problems stemming from the Infinity Gems necessitated its creation. The Watch then went on to have a starring role in the Warlock and the Infinity Watch series, which led them to become involved in the Infinity War (Reading Order), Infinity Crusade (Reading Order), and Thor: Blood and Thunder events. Their presence continued on through their series until it ended.

Notes
  1. These issues predate the actual creation of the Infinity Watch. However, they help provide pretty crucial context that explains why the Watch exists. They also star members of the Infinity Watch and present their most recent status quo.
