Mace Windu Comic Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring Mace Windu throughout the Star Wars comics. It may not encompass every one of his appearances but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the Star Wars Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

Note: movies are labeled in bold.

Prequel Era

Prior to Star Wars: Episode I- The Phantom Menace, Mace Windu only makes a brief comic book appearance. This appearance simply depicts a quick mission in which he is pitted against an evil warlord.

Mace Windu’s most prominent comic book appearance takes place after the events of Episode II- Attack of the Clones. The Jedi of the Republic – Mace Windu series specifically focused on his action during the Clone Wars while also containing some flashbacks to his past.
