Harry Potter
The entire Harry Potter franchise is extremely straightforward. The movies simply need to watched in the order they were released, starting with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001) (also known as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) and ending with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2 (2011). This means that there are eight films in total to view. There are no tie-in movies or extra films.
Fantastic Beasts
The Harry Potter series of films are followed by a prequel series, the Fantastic Beasts series. This series is set in the same world but takes place decades earlier, mostly centers around different characters, and follows a completely separate narrative.
