James Robinson’s Starman to receive a Paperback Compendium

James Robinson’s time with Starman is widely regarded as an exceptional comic run that has stood the test of time for most fans. Unfortunately, reprints of the series have not always been easily available. Paperback reprints have been out of publication for nearly a decade and a few of the omnibus reprints went out of stock shortly after their release.

Now, a new line of Starman collections appears to be on the horizon. The recently solicited Starman Compendium One is set to collect about half of James Robinson’s run on the character. A massive paperback collection like this feels similar to what Image comics has provided for comics like The Walking Dead and Saga or what DC has started doing for their Vertigo collections. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your preference), the Starman Compendium appears to be replacing the Starman: The Cosmic Omnibus Vol. 1 that was solicited at a much earlier date.

The details for the new Starman Compendium can be seen below. Note, solicitations like these may change dramatically as they move toward publication.

Watch Starman go up against The Mist, The Shade, and even Captain Marvel!
