Cave Carson Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring Cave Carson throughout DC Comics. It does not encompass every one of his appearances, but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

Rebirth

Cave Carson was reintroduced during the Rebirth era of DC Comics through their Young Animal imprint. It appears that his appearances in this era maintain most of his continuity from previous eras.

Almost all of Cave’s initial appearances, in this era, were confined to the Cave Carson Has a Cybernetic Eye series until the Milk Wars (Reading Order) crossover event. At this point, Cave’s adventures shifted location and his comic series was relaunched as Cave Carson Has an Interstellar Eye in order to reflect these changes.

As of now, this Reading Order comprises the entirety of Cave’s story. His character may be brought back at some point in the future but it is unclear when/if this will happen.
