Mister Terrific Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring Mr. Terrific (Michael Holt) throughout DC Comics. It does not encompass every one of his appearances, but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

New 52

At the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe was reset. For the most part, it appears that this continuity shift completely wiped Mr. Terrific’s pre-Flashpoint history. He is reintroduced through the Mister Terrific series, where his adventures in this new universe begin.

His journey through this era mostly takes place in his solo series and through the Earth 2 (Reading Order) series of comics. These issues start by detailing his individual superhero adventures and go on to explain his travels through dimensions.

Notes
  1. Though these two issues have Mr. Terrific in them, he doesn't really have a large role. Reading them simply confirms that Michael was able to transition from the status quo at the end of the Earth 2: World's End series to the status quo at the beginning of the Earth 2: Society series.

Rebirth

In the switch from the New 52 to Rebirth, it appears as if Mister Terrific's continuity is preserved. His adventures here essentially pick back up where the left off in the previous era.

Here, Mister Terrific begins making appearances through the Dark Nights: Metal (Reading Order) event. He plays a large role in this event and his action in it directly set up his later role in The Terrifics.
