New 52

With the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe’s continuity was reset. This effectively wiped Garth’s history clean.

Tempest is reintroduced through the Aquaman series. In this series, he starts in a relatively minor position but becomes more significant as he becomes more important to Aquaman (Reading Order) and Mera (Reading Order). Meanwhile, he also plays a large role in the Titans Hunt miniseries. This miniseries brings back some of Garth’s pre-New 52 history and also sets up his status quo going into the Rebirth era.

Rebirth

The Rebirth era mostly continues Tempest's story from Titans Hunt but also continues a few aspects of his adventures in the Aquaman series. Both of these plotlines directly build on the events of the previous era.

His primary appearances occur in the Titans series. This comic has Tempest as a main character and significantly develops his personality and his relationships with the other members of the Titans (Reading Order). Outside of this, he makes a quick appearance in the Aquaman series, which explains a few pieces of his past and reaffirms his significance in the lives of Aquaman (Reading Order) and Mera (Reading Order).
