Original Sin Reading Order

Overview

Original Sin (Review) is a large comic book event that has a large impact on a number of different comics. The main event focuses on a murder-mystery with cosmic implications. The investigation into this mystery then reveals secrets from all corners of the Marvel Universe.

Original Sin is mostly told through a straightforward main event series. All necessary parts of the event are contained within this series. However, there are also a number of tie-ins that share a connection with the event.

Tie-Ins

Only a few of the Original Sin (Review) tie-in issues actually relate back to the event itself. An issue from Mighty Avengers shows some of the fallout from the event's murder-mystery, the Young Avengers stories from Original Sins #1-5 show how people on the ground are reacting to the event, and the Dum Dum Dugan story from Original Sins #5 further elaborates on Nick Fury's actions. Finally, the Original Sin Annual #1 gives a flashback that further explains Nick Fury's past. All of these tie-ins help expand upon the event as a whole.

The rest of the Original Sin tie-ins show how specific characters are impacted by the fallout from Original Sin #2. These tie-ins relate to the stories from individual comics and only barely relate back to the main event.

Before Reading

The direct prelude to Original Sin (Review) is contained within the "Behold the Watcher" story from Point One #1, shown in this reading order. Besides this, the Original Sin event does not have much when it comes to prior reading.

After Reading

The main story here does not continue in any one specific comic. However, major story elements go on to affect a number of individual characters:
