Top 5 DC Comics Covers- April 2018

With a month of comic book releases behind us, we’re taking a look at the best cover art April of 2018 had to offer. Also, make sure you view last month’s picks here. Check out these beautiful looking comics right here:

5. Batman: White Knight #7 by Sean Murphy

This is a cover that manages to draw in everyone’s attention. Front and center is the Joker, who’s manic personality and current expression give the impression that he is capable of some pretty twisted actions. Meanwhile, in the background, a defeated Batman sits in chains, thus allowing Joker to do whatever he wants. It is a terrifying cover for everyone but even more terrifying for those who have read Batman: White Knight.

4. Supergirl #20 by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau

The Artgerm variant covers for the Supergirl series have all been fantastic but this month’s is one of the better ones. Light and shadows spill over both Supergirl and Superman in a way that highlights their characters perfectly. Artgerm’s work on these covers is always something to look forward to.

3. Harley Quinn #41 & #42 by Frank Cho

Including two covers in one entry might be cheating… but these connecting covers by Frank Cho look too awesome to leave out. Here, Cho combines numerous aspects of Harley’s life into one crystallizing image that sums up her relationship with Gotham. It is a real treat for Harley fans and a great piece of art for everyone else.

2. Batman #44 by Joelle Jones

This is one of the first opportunities readers have had to view Catwoman’s wedding dress, and the results are spectacular. Joelle Jones has designed an ensemble that defies tradition while also looking traditional. It blends the dark and light aspects of Selina’s personality and even manages to show off her “cat” motif. In addition, the staging of this cover is wonderfully done and gives readers a glimpse at two very different versions of Catwoman. Batman #44 is a great looking cover that gets us even more excited to see what is next in the lives of Bruce and Selina.

1. Action Comics #1000 by Jock

This month’s pick for the number one slot was a hard one but ultimately fell to the historical 1000th issue of Action Comics. However, picking one Action Comics #1000 cover was even harder, since there are over a dozen of them out there. Ultimately, we went with Jock’s variant for the Forbidden Planet comic book store. This minimalist cover spotlights a fantastic looking Clark Kent ready to emerge as his alter-ego, Superman.

Make sure you check out some of the other Action Comics #1000 variants right here because all of them look incredible.
