Booster Gold Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring Booster Gold (Michael Carter) throughout DC Comics. It does not encompass every one of his appearances, but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

New 52

At the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe was reset. In this new continuity, Booster retains his status as a time-traveling hero but all of his previous adventures are wiped away.

Throughout this era, Booster’s largest role is in the Justice League International (Reading Order) series. However, after that series ended, he went on to guest star in a few other comics and have a small story arc the took place in the background of the Futures End (Reading Order) and Convergence (Reading Order) events.

1. Booster's appearance here is small and only helps explain one detail from the Justice League International Annual #1. It can be skipped if necessary.
2. Booster has a costarring role in these issues. However, they have a very minimal impact on his overall story, which is more effectively continued in Booster's Futures End one-shot.
3. Booster only makes a minor appearance here but it does, somewhat, continue the story from the conclusion of the Convergence: Booster Gold tie-in issues.
4. This issue is essentially a small team-up between Booster Gold and Bat-Mite. It doesn't have much of an impact on Booster but may be of interest for those looking to see him take on a rather unusual role.
