New 52

Tanya Spears was introduced in the later half of the New 52 era and does not have appearances prior to this era.

Tanya was introduced through the Worlds’ Finest series, where she began a friendship with the original Power Girl (Reading Order). Events from that series led to Tanya’s superhero origin and her taking up the “Power Girl” name. Her superhero adventures then continue alongside the Teen Titans (Reading Order) through their respective series.

Notes
  1. Tanya only makes a brief appearance in this issue. However, it continues the general story from this series.

Rebirth

Power Girl's history appears to have been unaffected by the transition from the New 52 to the Rebirth era, as her connection to the Teen Titans (Reading Order) and the original Power Girl (Reading Order) are both referenced throughout her Rebirth appearances.

Tanya reappears through the Rebirth Deathstroke series. This series has her resume her career as a superhero and reaffirms her identity as Power Girl. Her role in that series ends on a cliffhanger that, as of right now, is unresolved.
